Diana Macalova is a composer, sound engineer and musician based in Vienna, Austria.

Born and raised in Slovakia, Diana discovered her passion for music already in early childhood, when she as a 5-years-old started to sing in a choir and 1 year later she began to take classic guitar lessons. In the high school she got into a pop-rock band as a singer and a guitarist.

Over the years Diana discovered her passion for film music composition and sound engineering. In 2017 she finished her sound engineering education at the Akademie Media in Salzburg as a certified sound engineer. After that she attended several interships, including The Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF and the intership at the gosh! audio studios, what helped her gain practical skills. She also attended several masterclasses and workshops hosted by Oscar-winning A-List composers like Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman and also took a course at the Online Trailer Music Academy. Diana is based in Vienna where she currently works as a sound engineer, sound designer and sound editor for the film-audio-postproduction studio Blautöne.

Diana´s work ranges from epic full orchestral scores, emotional piano pieces and hybrid compositions featuring various electronic elements to short, impactful titles, commercials and brand identities.
